Haven’t heard of kava? Kava is made from the roots of a pepper plant native to the South Pacific. It has a fascinating earthy yet numbing taste, that results from the high level of calming actives in the roots.
Natural kava is vegan, gluten-free, nonaddictive, and full of liver protecting properties.

All of our jars have a scooper. 1 scoop is between 170mg - 300mg+ of kavalactones depending on the blend or varietal.

Puariki is one of those kavas that reminds you why Vanuatu is the heart of the kava world. Grown exclusively on the remote island of Tongoa, this cultivar is treasured by locals and almost never seen outside the region. It is known to deliver a uniquely powerful experience which is blissful, layered, and remarkably clean.
Batch RSPUB001 arrives in stages. Our team reported an initial light euphoria and deep mental relaxation can settle in, dissolving tension without clouding the mind. Then we felt a stronger wave roll through which can only be described as a rich euphoria combined with heavy body relaxation.
From there and after more shells the effects expand, deepen, and then mellow into a warm, immersive calm and yet somehow, the next morning, you wake up astonishingly fresh—clear, grounded, and with zero hangover.

Puariki is rare—not in the marketing sense, but in the literal, logistical sense.
After Cyclone Pam devastated Tongoa in 2015, most kava crops were destroyed. Local families replanted slowly and with extraordinary care. Fortunately, Puariki planting materials were preserved and catalogued, allowing this extraordinary cultivar to survive.
This is not our first rodeo with puariki but this is the first time we've worked with this family on this varietal. Normally with some specialty batches we send it to our partner bars as little treats for their orders, and to ensure excitement within the community, but this batch was so uniquely refreshing that we decided to hoard the shipment of plants for our drinkroot supporters.
From our own testing: this was the first time we had a kava strong enough that walking became questionable—and still, we woke up as if nothing had happened. Great sleep, smooth landing, easy return to daytime. The experience lasts roughly 3 to 3.5 hours. No fog. No heaviness. Just clarity.
